I tried searching online but couldn't find it anywhere. Then I saw this book and ordered it. It's really a good book and easy to read. I like the theme and the language the author used in describing his experiences in life. I can feel his sense of humor in every sentence he wrote. If you're looking for light reading, this is a good pick for you. Thanks Mr. Bulos for writing such wonderful books that touches the readers' heart and makes them reflect on their own life. I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm not sure if I was expecting something more profound out of the story, but it was good nevertheless. Bulos tells about his life as a student in college, which is really funny at times. It's said that the inspiration for this book came from his time as a student in UP. This is not the first novel by Ismael Bulos Jr., but it's one of my favorite novels by him primarily because he writes about his experiences with Filipino Americans in college, which are so relatable to many of us young people today who are trying to find their way in life. I admire the author’s wit and sense of humor. The book was full of funny anecdotes which are well intermixed with interesting nuggets of information, giving the reader a peek into the lives of Filipinos in America. This is one of my favorite Ismael Bulos novels. It’s a witty read with lots of laugh-out-loud moments while trying to balance the serious moments that are sprinkled throughout the story. I think this book would appeal to young people especially during their college years. I'm writing this review after reading two other Ismael Bulos books, "Mga Busabos Ng Kahapon" and "Sandino", but this book has remained my favorite. It's hilarious because it's honest. I really enjoyed reading this book and it's a must read. I strongly recommend this book to all Filipinos. I enjoyed reading "Dear Alex, Break Na Kami". The author goes into detail about his childhood experience at UP. Ismael was a very smart guy and his success in life is the result of hard work and determination. One of my favorite parts in the book was when he shared about his time in America where he went to college.
